I don't care if they're new or old, I just beat X-com for like the 4th time and by now I'm done with X-Com itself, but I'm just dying for any x-com-like goodness.

There's a good X-Com fan remake in the works...
X-Force is pretty good and even has more features than x-com, but the combat is still a little rough around the edges. It's a WIP so it'll probably get better.
The combat isnt bad, but there isnt enough movement options and grenades are like fucking nuclear bombs. Just make a team of snipers with 1 scout and 1 tank. Send the scout and tank around, scout place sensors and tank punch aliens near him (the tank can usually kill them in one blow, I had a tank go suicidal on a pack of aliens and kill every single one and not take a bullet..), snipers shoot anything that wanders out of the buildings/UFOs and throw grenades at packs of them.
But everything else is quite nice, the ship battles, the research options, the customization options, the interface, just how things work in general, better then the original X-Com.
Also combat might just be easy because im fighting pussy aliens or something, maybe they get harder later on.
