I've read scattered about here and there that there is an Arcanum 2 in the works. Is this correct or just a rumor? I enjoyed the first one and would like to see a prequel or sequel.

No, no, no--you got it all wrong. It's already done, it's just being held up by Sierra for localization!

All I know is that Tim Cain said he has the design (maybe design ideas, i'll have to check) read or done for Arcanum 2.

If it's at least as good as the first one; I'm all for it; but you know, thsoe evil publishers always get in the way.

Why ARE they holding it back so long...? not that I mind waiting that much since I'm broke at the moment and there is nothing worse than knowing a game is right down at the store and you can't have it. although usually I get it anyway and just live only on oatmeal for a couple of weeks.

The state of insanity.
Actually, Anovich, Arcanum 2 is not even made yet. They have designs for it done up, but no actual programming or anything has started on it. Don't even know if it ever will.

We like to take threads here and twist them into some other subject that goes totally off the original subject for awhile, but then we usually get back on subject for a couple of posts before going off subject once more.

Yeah.... I think that made sense....

a what with a what-what? heh sure that sounds fine, just don't espect me to be able to always remember the original subject. short term memory you know. brain overload. so where exactly am I, again?

We already had a comprehensive discussion concerning various kinds and flavours of pie. I wonder what the original topic really was in that thread :D

As long as Sierra holds the license I don't think there will be a sequel. Money talks, but I'm not sure what would it take for Troika to go with Sierra one more time.

And where exactly was that "scattered about here and there " ?

Actually one was in another topic thread here... you'd have to search for it as I was just idly browsing. Another was in one of the dailies I get delivered online every day. Then there is just the usual speculatives that I read people posting.
