Previously only a demo was available, but now they released their EA version.

From what I saw in videos on youtube, the game mechanics are shamelessly copy/pasted from Subnautica... although exploring the ocean seemed much more interesting than this... but from the roadmap they posted, there will be alien enemy ships, so it might turn out alright.

It would have been if the fauna had been more hostile and the eco-fagginess was removed.
Guns.

It needed guns.

Having guns would completely destroy the game atmosphere. If you want guns in Subnautica you just don't get it.

I like the idea of Astrometica, but I just can't take this asteroid belt seriously. All asteroids are so close together that they would collide and create bigger asteroids in a matter of hours. The environment would be absurdly unstable and living on this belt would be like living in the middle of the biggest hurricane.

the tough life of anyone who has the tiniest grasp of how really space is. to me worst offenders are nebulas, where heroes use to hide but their density is actually lower than the voidest void of void we can artificially create on earth. and what about diffused light? i feel you, my man, but no depiction ever of space in science fiction has been truly faithful.
