From the "Who Gives a Fucking Shit?" department comes the
announcement of the BATTLE FOR MIDDLE-EARTH 2 COLLECTOR'S EDITION,
including an exclusive DRAGON. Here's the full poop:

-- Exclusive In-Game Content

-- All new fire-breathing
Dragon --on the battlefield, this impressive unit can only be
controlled by players who purchase the Collector's Edition

-- Special
graphic treatment for "create-a-hero" units identify Collector's
Edition gamers during on-line play

-- Multiple exclusive maps including
signature locations from The Lord of the Rings films --such as
Weathertop and Argonath

My LOTR knowledge may be a bit dusty but aren't dragons super-rare creatures that haven't been seen for ages?

Spotted @ The Wargamer

the only somewhat way that could be a map is if it's a 'historical map' or something. But they say 'from the movie'

The dragon thing depends on the offshoot of Tolkien's works you follow. His books only cover western Middle-Earth, so it's possible that dragons continue to exist in other parts of the continent.

Still smacks of trying to flog the franchise for as much as it is worth. But for those little'uns who think having some identifier that they have teh collector's edition, I'm sure it's a fantastic bonus and they'll order 2 copies each.
