This kind of thing apparently.
It's a sensible outlook in many respects.

It does, however, manage to bring its own brand of narrow-mindedness to the party.
For example:
A scratchware game relies primarily on 2D art...3D games are complex and costly.
The 2D vs 3D decision should be made on its own merits regardless of the context. Unthinkingly opting for 2D is every bit as narrow-minded as unthinkingly opting for 3D.

"3D games are complex and costly" is a stupid remark in the context. Sure - most current 3D games are costly, just as most current games are. So what? The point is to do things differently. [and there's nothing inherently wrong with complexity]
