ATI Crossfire
Performance on systems using ATI Crossfire will be reduced until ATI releases an updated driver with Oblivion listed as a Crossfire Compatible game.

Lol, so it's probably something like "Oh look, ATi Crossfire works way better than it should, let's cut the performance and blame ATi afterwards.

Just how low can these guys sink?

Fame Is The Name Of The Game

Fame Is The Name Of The Game

Lord Chambers:
Nothing about the leveling.

Leveling, that facetious / fatuous flaw, is Oblivion's ticket to greatness, and world entertainment supremacy.

Many with Oblivion / Bethesda emo-tional attachments, apologize by emo-ting that all games have quality issues.

Many games that aspired to greatness are well known for their flaws, that later proved 'fatal' for their developers, .. . can I spell T - r - o - i - k - a, as a example?

To carry on this gaming, and rpg tradition, Oblivion was shipped to the shelves with quality issues intact. Some may be patched. Some may be purged by a mod community. These free lance champions may prove more talented then Beth's dev's, and more honorable than the cynically calculating, social engineers in Bethesda - Zenimax's public relations / marketing.

The game review cabal, the fellow travelers' that gushed over the immaculate miracle of Oblivion are now forever 'profiled' as running dogs for hire. These will not exhale the last gasping grasp at failed greatness. This thankless burden will be endured by those that have seen Oblivion's potential, and do not settle for half a loaf, or half a fish.

The leveling flaw is the crown of thorns, and the holy mission for the devout.

The cynical marketing decision was half a game was better than none.

The emo-tional saints of mod will carry this burden, this cross, THIS QUEST, until the game experience is made whole, made one.

Let us all prey ...

Oblivion's rating has just been changed from T to M (nudity) and there's already a recall at Circuit City, apparently because there were unused nipple textures in the data files (you can see them through the bras if you squint).

This patch removes these textures, but the damage is done - millions of teenagers now potentially have access to something vaguely resembling soft porn. Will Bethsoft ever recover from this? Or will they sell another million copies? The answer may shock you!

That's interesting...

The answer is yes - they will sell more copies because of this affair. Many more customers will be shocked they got a "mature" adventure with writing for 13yr olds.

Hidden nipple textures strike me as immaturity, not the opposite.

Funny thing is, they serve absolutely no purpose because they're always covered (without a nude patch, I suppose). So why include the texture?

 [conspiracy_theory]Did they plan this? ... or are just plain stupid (even if it turns out to be a good thing, saleswise).

Sounds like it would be worth a try. If you are successful be sure to post at the official forums.

Todd had a fight with his wife and got lonely that night. So he fired up photoshop and drew up some elf boobs.

EDIT:

That, or they needed somthing to fill in the DVD so they can force people to download the CS.
