Of course, conversation is only one of the routes you can choose - everything from quiet stealth to extreme violence to more esoteric vampire disciplines are available to the clever player. The most dramatic way you get to define your character is through selection of a clan - the Bloodlines referred to in the title. From the seven choices, you might select a feral Gangrel, who can tap the powers of animals and summoning beasts, or the shadow-dwelling monstrous Nosferatu, to name but two. The wide range of player options at any step means that problems will have multiple solutions, allowing characters to express themselves in a variety of ways. A guard blocking your way into a house? Depending on your talents you could try diplomacy, sneaking, taking over his mind, scaring him half to death, sucking his blood or simply killing him with your shotgun. There's something for everyone, it seems.
