<strong>[ Game -> Review ]</strong> - More info on <a href="http://www.tacticularcancer.com/wikitacticular/index.php?title=Civilization IV">Game: Civilization IV</a>
<p><a href="http://www.computergames.ro" target="_self">ComputerGames.ro</a> have slapped up their <a href="http://www.computergames.ro/site/p/articles/o/review/lng/en/artid/724/page/1/lng/en/articles.html" target="_self">7 page Civilization IV review</a>:</p>
<blockquote>
<p>Another major difference from Civilization III is the combat system.
First of, the units no longer have attack and defense parameters, which
have been replaced with strength and movement. The movement difference
doesn’t reside just in their nature (a Scout can travel two hexes,
while a Warrior can travel only one) but it also depends whether or not
there are roads in the area (these can also grant allied or Open Border
units increased movement range). Units can also receive speed bonuses
in certain conditions. For instance, the first player to circle the
world will receive a speed bonus for naval vessels.
</p>
</blockquote>
They give a nice overview of quite a few of the nifty added features
(mentioning things such as camera rotation) so if you're not sure if
Civ IV really has anything new to warrant picking it up, definately
check the review.
