[ Game -> Review ]

StrategyInformer has given that game by them Ruskie developers yet another mixed review, scoring it an overall 6.5 thingies out of 10.
They point out that it certainly had some potential, but ultimately it was a frustrating experience:

...what could have been one of the most interesting and rewarding PC strategy games to emerge over the last few years has turned out to be a series of frustration-inducing obstacles.
But there is some glimmer of hope for us Strategy Jeenyarses:

To sum up, Hammer and Sickle is unbelievably difficult, putting a hamper on a gamer’s overall enjoyment, to the point that you’ll likely spend most of your game time backtracking. But for the extra-bright gamers out there or those with a sadistic love of frustration, this game will engage you, to say the least.
Maybe I am supar bright, or a masochist, as the review certainly hasn't put me off from wanting to get my mitts on the game.

On the shag-rating scale, I'd give it a nice smooth velvet kind of color with bands of pleasing scarlet running around the edges. It's a damn fine game and damn you if you think otherwise.

really, can it be any tougher than x-com? X-Com doesnt have as much sneaking/cover/item/etc options as H&S offers, so I doubt H&S is harder than X-Com.
