CRPG.ru have posted a review of the beta version of Harbinger.

In conclusion, I'd say the game looks solid. It won't become the next best thing but will satisfy the fans of Action/RPG genre, as there are no fatal errors here and the gameplay is rich and entertaining. The best thing I can say is that I stopped playing Gothic for Harbringer, and did not regret it. The three days I spent with this beta version passed fast as I explored the world, encountered new monsters, improved my character and acquired better items - a fairly typical activity for such games, but fun none the less.

Grmbl I was hoping it would be the big shiny new sci-fi rpg I've been waiting for. Not that much hope left after all the previews and certainly not after this (rather shallow) review. Oh well, I just hope it will turn into quite a cool action packed game...the story seems interesting enough and I just love big shiny laser death cannons.
When oh when will we have someone create a cool sci-fi rpg like the old buck rogers games? I'm getting rather tired off all the orcs and bloody elves.
Sigh,

Trash
