Hellgate: London mods

Can't play Borderlands. Fuck it.

So. Is Hellgate Revival mod as good as they say or what? The original game had shitton of potential. The combat was pretty fun, charbuild was decent, mobs were challenging at times as well. And Revival devs even made adorable CG intro. Not as good as original, tho.



That intro is a masterpice.

I just need some mindless action/rpg every now and then. Without much of talking and cutscenes, but more combat-oriented (not click-em-to-death type of combat). And featuring a lot of SLAUGHTER. How to explain it... A crosbreed between Diablo and Painkiller - that's the closest explanation of what I'm looking for. What else should I play? Borderlands make my eyes bleed. Hellgate: London is the only genre representative left.

As I understand, Hellgate is freeware today and modders made some major surgery on it after original devs went bankrupt. Revival has its submods, like Lost London and others, but the most recent and promising looks this one:

Yeah, I noticed that and eager to try out. I'm STILL installing the game and patches. My old rus CD version seems to be incompatible with eng patches, so now I have to torrent that shit. It takes forever.
