By the way, has anyone checked out his books?

I have his CRPG book. Nice trip down memory lane, though it has a few failures in it that could have been spotted by virtually anyone that knows anything about the genre. Also, it doesn't mention anything about the Indy scene, nor any of the games in it. I actually pointed out a few to him afterwards and he was very surprised, but surely he should have did his homework before writing the book?

His fans didn't think so, and promptly jumped down my throat. He wasn't so bolshie himself though. I think his failures largely come from having too closed a forum of circlejerkers, and never seeming to venture outside it to crosscheck his knowledge.

Still has a lot to learn has Mr Barton, though I enjoy his videos and his efforts in this area.
