Just remembered that i tried the demo some time ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. Deserves a thread.

Understandable reaction. It can get pretty annoying waiting for the last two survivors of FFA to finish their dance but on the plus side there is no in-game chat.

There is so much cool stuff you can do in this game.

You can grab enemies and throw them in any direction you want, after which you can blast your opponent with a charged shot or lunge at them with the intention to wombo combo them to death while they're still helpless in the air. Enemy can try to weasel out of this by activating a limited charge super saiyan mode to which you can respond by teleporting behind them and grabbing them again.
Bonus points for having a completely destructible environment.

A singleplayer RPG or tactics game with this kind of gameplay would have been awesome.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

From the trailer, it seems a good part of the gameplay is guessing and countering what your opponent would do, so it might not work as well against the AI (if it is mostly a mind game).
It reminds me of Kongai, an old fighting TB game on Kongregate.

i was used to modern labeling, where "alpha" means "we're ready to launch" and "beta" "YOU are going to test it, YOU are going to pay for it, we are NOT going to give a shit about feedback". for once alpha means alpha here, it's a barely playable prototype, there's nothing. not even people playing.
despite being a turn based game, action is quite fast and furious, but i'm afraid most of the matches with decently skilled players are going to be mainly made of headless chickens running erratically around looking for an opening which is not going to happen.
