Although Troika is unfortunately gone, it seems fans of Bloodlines haven't given up on the game. Worthplaying are hosting version 1.4 of a fan patch for the game. There's no earth-shatteringly important fixes, but it's something.
* Repaired SWAT rifle crosshair and set damage similar to 'Jamie Sue'.
* Made rifles and crossbows use single shots to fit reload animation.
* Barabus will not be in the Fu Syndicate anymore after you have left.
* Removed illogical placed flamethrower and Ra blade from Hollowbrook.
* Chastity will have the Ra blade and a crossbow can be found nearby.
* Put flaming crossbow, torch and flamethrower at the Leopold Society.
* Changed damage of blunt weapons to fists < arm < baton < bat < iron.
* Made CD quest available to all clans as Malkavian lines were there.
* Fixed Tawni and friend noticing you before accepting Imalia's quest.
* Made vendors sell crossbow bolts with Tseng selling a crossbow too.
* Imalia's magazine quest is now also available after her Tawni quest.
Some games get total conversions or mods from fans. Troika games get patches.

That alone speaks volumes of their inability to provide for relatively bug-free products on initial release. One would feel pity if it was never their fault, but it's not the case. They were a good company with some good design visions for CRPGs who buried themselves in the long run. Too bad. The more I get closer to finishing every aspect of Bloodlines, the more I regret their demise, but its not totally undeserved.

It's good to see someone give the game the polish it needs and deserves.

Very True, very true. Quick question tho, how does he change the locations of weapons and items on maps? Does he have some sort of an SDK?

They'll be doing it the hard way. Troika never released any tools. No surprise considering they never released the patches that were needed.

There is no complete SDK, but there are some tools out there that can changes minor things like dialogue, skins, or ways to spawn characters in unlikely places. There is also a decompiler. There are a lot of screenshots of people playing as Jeanette or VV. But there is no way to make new models, last I checked. And that is not for the want of trying. There are quite a few people who want to make total mods, but whatever Troika did to the code makes it very difficult.

Though, I raise in eyebrow at some of the "fixes". Yeah, the Tawni thing needed to be fixed. Is the haven of a vampire cult that "illogical" of a place to have a necromancer's sword? Is in the possession of a "soldier of christ" anymore logical? Plus getting it by hollywood before you can get a regular katana imbalances the game.

It would seem a better idea to release a fix pack for genuine bugs and a balance patch for more arguable fixes separately.

Unfortunately, "game fan" and "better ideas" don't always go hand in hand. Sometimes, the later is violently snuffed out by the former.
