Why so edgy bros?

I strategically skipped the last w/e since the first one and in order to still have some semi freshness coming into this one.

I remember one day, in the subway train.

There was this brunette woman, god she was beautiful... She was playing on her Nintendo DS. I also had a Nintendo DS in my pocket. This felt like a perfect opportunity.

So I sat next to her, and I took it out.

I loaded Animal Crossing. I could see her peering at my screen from time to time. This would be the ideal conversation starter.

And then I saw DICKOMEDA, the giant dick constellation I had drawn at the observatory. It was displayed in full grace at the top of my screen. Oh, bummer.

Let's try acting casual.

I saw someone new in my village. That person arrived from after a multiplayer session with a friend ; the animal moved out of her village and settled into mine. I greeted her, as anyone should do. And the fucking bastard said

"Hello, Taxalot DOYOUSUCKDICKS, I'm new in this village, I'm so happy to meet you taxalot DOYOUSUCKDICKS"

I sighed.

I never saw that woman again.

I crossed my cat once. He almost ripped me a new one when his dinner was not served on time.

What's the pitch? I've been eying Animal Crossing since the Wii game, but I can't seem to find what it's actually about as a series. Is it a "life simulator" or something? I would also like to point out that I'm partial towards the Harvest Moon series so if they're similar I could get behind Animal Crossing, even with fur suits.

Think The Sims + more actual hands-on stuff to do + animals.

If you've never played one this is probably the best place to jump in.

It fills a certain charming hole.

Plus I like to create designs and then put then on flag or my shirt or walls

Damn, I remember I bought it for my sis years ago.
I'll check if she still has it. Maybe it's fun after all.

I played the first one released on the gamecube some years ago, you basically spend the whole game paying off a loan shark that looks like a raccoon. I never understood that game.

Sounds like a rather realistic life simulator, then.

I appreciate the input guys, I'll give the series a go when I find some downtime. It's probably going to be either a Wii or DS game, given that's what I have readily available. Which of the two would you recommend?

Emulate gamecube game or Wii game

I've played the GC one, DS one I remember burning out quick

3ds one so far has definitely had more feelings of the GCN one than the DS one

DS has the map at the bottom which is useful though

I personally say use your Wii to play the GameCube version. They're all pretty much the same, but the GC version has a few extra NES games to play within the game. Plus it should be dirt cheap compared to the other versions.

...just my 2 cents.
