Had some more MARVEL game ideas:
  • Iron Fist beat 'em up with gameplay inspired by God Hand

  • Daredevil Arkham clone > but combat and platforming have more depth to it (required as the Arkham games heavily revolved around Batman's gizmos, and Matt is much more rudimentary when it comes to equipment) - also they could play with Matt's senses, have the Arkham's Dectetive vision be the default vision but higly modified (instead of seeing people directly being walls, have some kind of sound wave effect altering the level's apparence) and the Vision Zoom could be a kind of Focus (where Matt can discern things he couldn't before and in greter detail - someone's heartbeat, the faint breathing of Hand's Ninjas hiding, etc)

  • Marvel Double Feature - Dr. Strange and Black Knight > Mephisto/Dormammu/Shuma-Gorath are planning to invade the mortal world, the Sorceror Supreme rushes to prevent that but he needs the Ebony Sword to repair the seal (something something this portal is at an ancient fortification on a strange remote land and was sealed by the first Black Knight with Merlin's aid yada yada yada); a metroidvania/dungeon crawl with 2 distinct but often insecting campaigns - Black Knight, 2 combat styles, no lock-on his movements are swift, better suited for crowd control and the inputs are simpler, with lock-on his movements are more deliberate, focused on 1v1 duel and the inputs are more complex, starts only with the Ebony Sword and aquires new items throughout the levels as well as a Sword upgrade, Dane can take a beating but the player needs to play well for him dish out one - Dr Strange, 3 types of spells, offensive, defensive, utilitary (primarly focused of enviromental alterations), starts with few basic spells (Winds of Watoomb, Bands of Cyttorak, Shield of the Seraphim, Tendrils of Ikthalon) and learns new ones as he explores, Steve is a Glass Cannon even fodder enemies can end in if they get a few hits - I would say "fixed" cameras would work best, not only to best frame the level and combat encounter but that way the mouse/analog could be used in gameplay (i beliveve this would specially help with Strange's spells) - also a co-op mode would work well, perhaps have even certain side-quests taken by one character that would get something specifically to benefit the other...

On the subject of game ideas, I was pondering how to make a Superman game that doesn't suck and it hit me that Superman would be best served through a point-and-click adventure game. He can only really be hurt by kryptonite or magic, so a beat'em up game wouldn't make much sense, and DC's stories historically tended to be about puzzle-solving because their heroes were all omnipotent, so put Superman in a puzzle-oriented game in which you have to use his various powers (just use a SCUMM interface with stuff like "heat vision" and "super-breath" as options) to deal with more psychological challenges. It probably wouldn't sell for crap, but I would enjoy it.
