Is it just me or have their been a truckload of new demos for high profile games in the last week?

Get it from Fileplanet, Fileshack, Gamer's Hell etc.

I'll try it shortly and post some impressions.

Unfortunately it's just a combat demo, like the original Rome:Total War demo.

I hadn't played a TW game before Rome and wasn't going to buy it on the strengths of the original demo, but all the glowing reviews of the strategic side persuaded me - to my good fortune!

I can't see this demo attracting anyone who hasn't already played the original.
