Rubies of Eventide any good?

How is Rubies of Eventide? I noted that they went to a free play format and was thinking about giving it a go.

However, I gave Anarchy Online a shot and was turned off by the epicness of leveling (seemed like you didn't get very many items of note until level 100) and how it seemed engineered towards favoring team questing. (I don't much care for people, and teaming up takes way too much effort).
