We are all aware of pitiful state in which Guild III is currently and not so bright future ahead of it if current state and team's goals are anything to go by. So who will give us an opportunity to scratch that Guild II itch (except Guild II)? Who will save us from having to endure Guild III? Who will perhaps even improve the formula? Anyone?
Perhaps there is someone... Its name might be SAELIG and it's currently in early access on Steam and is largely being made by 1-2 dev team. Now I know... it's not in best shape, it's early access, it might never see the light of day etc. but at least the dev (who's very active and updating game regularly) seems to know what he's doing and to be very passionate. His main influence is Guild II, as he admits, and is currently struggling with what kind of RPG elements to implement. He's leaning more towards improve by doing (Elder Scrolls style) skill system but other RPG mechanics (like having some basic attributes and linking them to skills, perks/traits etc.) are not yet announced though maybe he'll put them in eventually.
Overall let's invite him here andbrainwash persuade him into making this game as Guild II game as possible and putting in features which will maximize role playing aspect. His Steam nick is Stardog and he comes from New Zealand and has programming background. Who knows, maybe Stellar Tactics or Vigilantes potential lays in this game/dev. Let's make yet another early access game inclined!
