It makes sense, SEGA is in the strategy space already with Creative Assembly and to a lesser extent the Football manager series. Also the company has under-gone restructuring lately to focus more on the digital market (ie, Computer gaming).
Not to mention the recent Warhammer licensing recently should allow for a smoother transition to acquiring the dawn of war franchise. Realistically the only other alternative is EA, and i wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.
