I have gotten to the point in the game where I got the Panzerkleins and am in the process of fighting the other panzerkleins at the facility in Switzerland. But there are a few bugs in the game that have finally aggregated enough to piss me off.

1. Is it normal that my dead comrades magically come back to life at mission's end? Why the hell is that normal? I lost Toki in the mission where I found the panzerkleins so he wasn't there to grab the fourth one. After I left the mission and he was back in the squad, of course he was without the armor. But I couldn't get back to the mission to get it for him. Talk about a pain in the ass.

2. Civilians AI. I can suffer through their turns if their AI did anything useful. For the most part instead of just getting the fuck out of the way, they wander aimlessly and manage to always get in the middle of the action. Why can't they just run and hide and burn their moves effectively?

3. Camera. I like the camera except for the fact it doesn't like to stay put. I find a view I like and then when I miss a shot I have to see the bullet hit the side of a shed. Who cares? Stay still. Then the enemy turn moves the position of the camera. There should be a camera lock that keeps a view or at least you should be able to hotkey specific isometric views so you don't have to keep screwing around with the mouse all the damn time.

4. Turn Interrupts. It almost seems as if these are random. When I expect them and need them they don't happen. When I only have 7 AP and can't do anything then I have them. Great, thx. When in RT mode, if I don't act fast enough to initiate a fight, then the enemy will manage to attack me even though I saw him first.

5. General rants. I find myself wishing for flares so I could better adapt to night combat. There are also some rooms filled with unmovable furniture that manages to keep me from getting to lockers. Who the fuck nails down chairs in front of a locker? A grenade even doesn't help in moving the damn things.

It seems like there are many things that this game almost got right. Its so close to being a great game it makes me want to cry. Where is the patch to fix this crap?

Ok, the guys must have been unconscious then. It appeared that they were dead, I never thought otherwise. Why do they automatically heal back to 100% on mission exit?

The guide helps lots, thx. I'll have to try this next time I play.

RPGCodex silly!
In SS, it's actually quite difficult to *kill* someone. Because of the missions where you have to caputre people, they made it so when your VP's hit 0 you're "unconscious"

And the civilians are pretty annoying, I generally just shoot them.

But the camera though, iirc (it's been a while, unfortuantly) if the camera is moved to shoot a guy dieing or something, it would move it back at the end of the turn if I'm not mistaken.

You play on the Easy difficulty, right? On the harder difficulties your soldiers don't automatically heal up (at least not fully) and they also die permanently easier.
