That's great. It looks like the Hero doesn't charge into battle, so it's like HOMM3 and not HOMM4. This is a good thing.

I just saw the screens too. I think they tell more about the gameplay than the previous images.

Hm. If some of those screens are from the overworld map, they better as hell spruce it up some before release... it looks *alot* like Etherlords, which was about as cut-and-dry boring mapmaking as you can get.

And I'm playing HOMM3 Complete right now, so yes, I know what I'm talking about.

The team is also planning to add in an optional, alternate setup for combat that will resemble the "timed initiative" system of most console role-playing games, in which each unit will have a continuously filling time meter and will be able to move or attack once its meter is full

Fine with me. I'd turn that on in the early game, when all you fight are simple monsters. It's still true turn based.
