SP2 bug in ToEE

There is a bug with Service Pack 2 and ToEE. The game crashes when you exit and you can't loot corpses. Does anyone know of a fix other than uninstalling SP2?

The looting bug is Dx 9.0c, but the crashing thingie is probably SP2 - heard several game was expected to not work, including MS own Age of Empires.

I thought the looting bug was fixed by uninstalling SP2?

In any case, you can get around the looting problem by entering combat ("c", if I recall) and looting from there. Yes, you can do that even when enemies aren't around, and looting works fine in combat - but it's a frustrating workaround.

Thank god my cynicism overcame my addiction to patches. If FF doesn't work, it'll be a cold day in hell before SP2 makes it onto my hard drive.

Same here, thankfully when I said good bye to using IE my security problems/ aggravations totally stopped...hopefully the next DX update will correct the issues
with SP2..until then..fuck it

I remember this shit with Mech Warrior 4: Merc's as well. I got all these weird and disturbing glitches in the graphics that made it look like my brand new videocard was busted. It scared the hell out of me.

The thing is, MW4erc's is also an MS game. At least in part....
