Those lovable lugs at Gamespot have coughed up a nifty little article detailing the various ships and races of the excellent multi-genre awesomefest that is Space Rangers 2.

Space Rangers 2 is an upcoming strategy game that's already being
compared to the classic space adventure and exploration game Star
Control 2. Indeed, there are a number of similarities between the two.
Both games are played from a top-down, 2D perspective, and your goal in
each game is to fly around the galaxy, exploring the unknown, charting
new worlds, battling countless enemies, and then upgrading your ship
with new weapons and technologies. The game is already available in
Europe, where it has earned strong praise, and it's coming to North
America next month. We've got the info on the five races in the game,
as well as the different ship types that you'll encounter.

Maybe if I had FINISHED MY REVIEW BEFORE MY HARD DRIVE DECIDED TO BLOW ITSELF UP I wouldn't need to post this as news because you'd all know this and how awesome Space Rangers 2 is.

What's up with these people covering the game like it's not been released at all yet, anyway? I don't see what's stopping GameSpot from ordering the game off Gogamer.com and then making an uber-exclusive "first review." Aside from inherent idiocy and infant-like dependency upon publishers, maybe.

Check out the rest here. Suprisingly, Baby Arm did not clue me in about this.
