Star Wars: Empire At War,
the RTS that actually doesn't look half-bad has gone gold and is going
to hit shelves on the 16th of the month. Here's some PR madness for you
to munch on:

LucasArts
is excited to announce that Star Wars: Empire at War has officially
GONE GOLD on PC and is scheduled to “command” its way onto store
shelves on February 16, 2006.

Star Wars: Empire at War puts the power to command an entire war for
the Star Wars galaxy at your fingertips, with battles focused on
action-packed combat rather than tedious resource gathering. Set a few
years before the events of Episode IV A New Hope, LucasArts’ new PC
game lets players wage war on ground and in space, as well as
experience the creation of the Rebel Alliance, the strengthening of the
Empire and the beginnings of the Galactic Civil War.

Star Wars: Empire at War is developed by Petroglyph and published by
LucasArts. For more information and to download the playable demo, go
to the official product website at www.empireatwar.com.

The game looks interesting enough. I like the Galatic Map they
had in the demo and would love to play around with it more in the full
game. And who knows, maybe I'll write a review or something. God knows
where need more content around here.

"is scheduled to “command” its way onto store shelves"

Aren't there laws against writing that sort of thing in public?

I have this thing about SW games.
I usually think something along the lines of "this is going to be candy-floss crap".
And you'd think that due to my low expectations I would be pleasantly surprised by the result. But no.

I doubt this will be an exception.
