Is there a truly awesome Steampunk rpg that is not Arcanum?

Vaporum and Vaporum: Lockdown - real time blobbers (there's no party though, one char only, so technically not blobbers, but who gives a fuck), very similar to both Grimrocks in terms of gameplay. Slightly better graphics, tougher fights, decent puzzles, great char customization that gives replay value.

Seems that for some reason both games are not too popular here, while LoGs get a lot of love, dunno why - Vaporum is fucking amazing and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Vaporum does look interesting.
Maybe I'll give it a try.

Dunno if you played/enjoyed LoGs, but if so, then Vaporum will be a blast for you - similar gameplay in great steampunk setting, with tons of improvements over LoG (char customization, better puzzles, better encounters, better itemization etc).

Seriously, this game deserves more love here - it's baffling how codex has turned a blind eye on this gem. Sure, real time blobbers are kinda niche, but LoGs were received here quite well, so it's weird how Vaporum got hugely ignored.

Bought Vaporum a few weeks ago, wil soon start playing it. Loved LoG 1 and 2 so hopefully this is as good.

Just make sure you play Vaporum first, and Lockdown later.

It's kinda like with LoGs - if you start with 2, the first one can be kinda a letdown, since it's less refined in almost every aspect, e.g. itemization, though in Vaporum's case it's less severe and first one still holds up nicely, even if you want to replay it after the second one. In LoG's cast, after finishing 2, I have no desire to replay the first one, since it has like 3 or 4 weapons in each category.
