[ Game -> Interview ]

I had a nice little sitdown with Joakim Långberg, lead programmer and designer for Colossai Studios. Colossai is working on the very nice-looking turn-based strategy/tactics game Frontline Nation (It even has hexes!!!). Here's a glance:

9. There is also mentions of nukes. Nukes are
always fun. What do you have in store for them? Once a nuke is built, will other
nations fear/respect your nuclear capabilites?

When you have produced
a nuke, you can choose to expose this fact to the others, or keep it a secret.
If you it expose it, it will normally help you when negotiating, since other
nations will have more respect and fear for you. There will be different types
of nukes that are used in different ways. But actually using a nuclear weapon
can have dire consequences. United Nations will in most cases oppose you
strongly, and will help the countries that you are in conflict with. If you have
used a nuclear bomb, other nations are also more likely to gang up on you. So
you will have to carefully consider if using a nuke is the best thing to do in a
given situation

Nice. I never liked how AI in other games would never recognize nukes beyond their use at weapons, if they even recognized their presence at all. I can't wait to flaunt them around.
