Already have this game both on GameCube and Ecksbawz but I am definetely going to get it again, really hope they get great sales and end up porting their whole backlog and even doing simultaneous PC releases of their future titles

Why greenlight? Is there an existing PC version ATM or not?

Voted. But why it goes to stupid greenlight approval instead of just releasing it as it is?

I am not really updated about how does it work but seeing how they are somewhat popular developers, they probably thought that waiting three or four weeks to get through Greenlight and getting 70% (?) monies for every sold copy would be preferable to teaming up with some publisher (iirc, no publisher = no direct entry into Steam) and getting /30/40/whatever%.

Jesus this game is a decade old and emulated on at least 3 consoles already.

Ikaruga developer Treasure may bring more games to the west via Steam, chief director Atsutomo Nakagawa said in a recent Famitsu interview translated by Destructoid.

“Ikaruga is the first one, and we don’t intend on stopping there. There are some players who say ‘How about Radiant Silvergun?’ but we also don’t intend to only do ports. We’re thinking of making a new original title for the platform, Steam,” he said.

FYI: Available: 18 February 2014

This game will unlock in approximately 5 days.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/253750
  • 2 Players game (Local) and
Double Play Mode: You can play 2 Players game with one controller.
  • 2 Game modes: ARCADE, PROTOTYPE (not hidden).
  • Vertical screen mode support.
You can also play the game like a side-scrolling shooter by rotating only the game screen.
  • Xbox360 controller, Keyboard and Mouse support.
Hope they also include the art galleries from the DC/GC releases, not that it's something important in a shump but it was pretty lame of them to sell most of the extras as wallpaper/avatar DLC in the 360 edition :rpgcodex:
