Like most indie games, Triangle Wizard has upped another two 0.01 increments since the 10 days ago we first mentioned it and is now at version 4.02. Here's a bit of what's new in this version:

-Added Gelatinous cube.
-Flood now has an area of effect which increases with proficiency level.
-Added three new unique levels which have a certain chance of appearing in a range of dungeon levels.
-Dark Elf now gains bonus resistance per level in all resistances (except physical and poison) instead of a greater chance to receive resistance powerups.
-Added two new unique creatures. (incl. Gnome with the Wand of Death).
-Fixed melee enemies freezing after jumping over them in a straight line.
-Added keymapping support.
-Added additional information to spell information screen such as damage, next level statistics, etc.
-Autopickup is now off by default.

Word on the street is the game "Could be fun to try when on LSD".

I can't see shit from the screenshots on their site. So dark, so much contrast...

If LSD is anything like in the movies or something, then I guess even that wouldn't help :\

I found watching the trailer to be superior to seeing what's going on compared to the screenshots. The LSD would likely help with all the shiny and colorful effects with magic...maybe...

Might as well give it a shot though if you've any fancy for Roguelikes, Diablo, Gauntlet, etc. That the developments have been largely based on player feedback to fix stuff and improve the end user experience, and quick about it, really is something special for a Roguelike where the above can take months at a time.

From my limited experience, it seems kind of like a fusion of a roguelike and Abuse. Move in two dimensions with the keyboard, aim with the mouse, and trudge through procedural maps gathering random loot. It's got potential.
