After trying the demo i am kinda not feeling it.
Don't like how the combat feels and is that just me or old PSX games weren't as blurry as this? That cave that requires torch/light spell gave me a headache.
I also don't like respawning enemies combined with limited consumables(didn't find the trader for those so i might be wrong here.).

Still, it got some nice visuals from time to time and there is some nice loot that can be found by exploring.

No game felt similar to King's Field except Fiend's Isle. A shame that game uses procgen and never will be finished

Procgen games literally CANNOT be like King's Field at all because KF is an Ultima Underworld like which is all about exploring a handcrafted dungeon.
Daggerfall is an Underworld-like based around the exploration of procedurally-generated dungeons (with a small amount of handcrafted content in certain dungeons related to the main quest), with procedurally-generated settlements, and a procedurally-generated overworld (that might as well not exist due to being tens of thousands of square miles in size). :M

Granted, it's further removed from Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss than the King's Field games.

Yes, I don't consider it an UU-like game for that reason (and other reasons, such as structure - UU is a dungeon crawler focused on one large location; so is King's Field).

Open world first person RPGs with wilderness and towns are a whole nother beast, just like how I consider Elden Ring to be far enough removed from Dark Souls structurally that I'd be willing to no longer call it a soulslike (at least not a pure one).

Structure is an important part of genre. KF is structurally pretty close to UU. Others in that vein are Arx Fatalis and the recent Monomyth. It's a small subgenre, but that makes it all the more charming.
