Which RPG should I play?

I'm apparently an rpg noob, something that anyone who's read my other posts will know. I'm trying to figure out which one I should play next. I want to play something a little older since I only have my crappy laptop with me now. Right now I'm thinking of
Arcanum
Fallout 1/2
Planescape
?
I'm basically want to play some of the "classics". Thanks in advance.

Fallout 1/2, PS:T, NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer and Knights of the Old Republic II are must play RPGs so you should start with those. Start with Fallout, just to get a lesson in choices and consequences and their importance in role-playing games. Save PS:T and Mask of the Betrayer for last, as they're the sweetest.

Hehe, I remember few years ago having a real crisis with the lack of games to play. Sure, every year or two came a game that offered some fun, but not nearly fun as the games of old. I became worried I was growing up and that my years have finaly caught up with me and that I won't be able to enjoy games anymore. Then a year ago I discovered PST. Or was it 2 years ago. Anyway, I remember I got so into the game that I was running home from work to play it like a six year old boy. Wish I could discover more such games

Start with KOTOR, then graduate to the real stuff. Fuck, man, I SOOO wish I were in your shoes! I remember my friend bringing me an old pirated cd of Fallout 2 when I was 13 or so. I was already affected by the Russian worship of all things postapocalyptic, so I went ZOMG and, two sleepless nights later, was an RPG nerd. I used to think Diablo=RPG before that. Fuck, I'm crying now :D

More or less in the same boat as him - i'm 16 years old and has such haven't really played many classic RPGs, only the more modern ones (KOTOR 1/2, Oblivion, etc) . Mass Effect for the PC is a buggy piece of shit and as such i'd like to try one of those -
Should I start with FO1, FO2, PST or something else?

You can start with Fallout. If you don't like that there's no hope for you no matter what, so it's likely the best start.
