The E.Y.E. description should mention that the game is a piece of shit.

Also if you are thinking about including Freedom Force and Gorky 17 I see no reason why Sacrifice and King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame should not be considered.

I said "thinking of". It doesn't look like we will add those. Not enough Kodex Konsensus behind them for games that aren't Pure RPGs(tm).

But, feel free to suggest games and submit descriptions.

That made me think, perhaps it's worth looking at other curators recommending this F2P piece of shit: http://store.steampowered.com/app/290730/. One wonders how many of those took the keys in return for their recommendation. Doing this without disclosing it is against the TOS, so if someone had the inclination, they could report both the developer and those curators to Big Brother GabeN.

Time to remove Dark Souls then ?
I didn't add Dark Souls. I've added other games that have been removed though. It's very arbitrary what games get added. Therefore I decided to not do any more curating.

Seriously, if we are recommending these, there is no excuse to not have DA:O or The Witcher(s) on the list...

EDIT: Gorky 17 is indeed a piece of shit. Although, I liked it more than Eschalon. ;)

Turn-based indies vs real-time AAAs is the excuse. I'm a bit puzzled that needs explaining on this forum.

But as it happens, I've just now been thinking about Dragon Age and the Witchers - I may make a poll about them later on.

Turn based game =/= good game, and although I understand we have higher quality tolerance for more codexian (i.e. turn-based/isometric/etc.) games, the original Eschalon is still waaaaay less worthy of a recommendation than DA:O (and judging from reviews Eschalon II and III are worse than the first one).

I am with DarkUnderlord in that all games from top 70 should be on the list, btw.

Sounds good in principle, but if someone keeps remaking the same games do they deserve the extra credit for being "indie"? Wouldn't it be preferable to just include his better games?

*shrug* I don't fully get this argument. It's not like there's a premium on room on the list. Add one game in the series, add 'em all. Why not?

But if you're referring to Jeff Vogel, well, we're not planning on adding Avadon.

We have 64 recommendations and 7 of those are Vogel's games already. More than 10% of our list is made of his games, including mediocre ones, like Genefore 3. And you want to add more?

That makes out list boring and padded. Recommend just the first game (or the best), if people enjoy it the can go after others.

In my view the main objective of the list is for the Codex's recommendation to show up on the game's store page and for recommended games to show up on people's front pages. And those people who want to skim through our entire list aren't going to be discouraged by that. "Oh, it's a bunch of Geneforges. Cool, they're all here, this list is hardcore. Okay, scrolling onwards." Just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.

I don't really mind all games from a series being on the list if they're good enough. However, if there's remakes then the better game should be on the list, not both.

RPG Watch just listed BioShock Infinite in their curator list.

R.I.P. HiddenX 's dignity.

19 of my 46 Steam friends play this game and like it. 'Games that are fun to play' is the RPGWatch Steam motto.
And not: 'Games that qualify as CRPGs under any circumstance'
Diversity is king at RPGWatch! We care for hybrids, shooters, adventures, strategy games and visual novels that are interesting for CRPG fans, too.

You are recommending Biocock Infinite. Your credibility is ruined forever, sorry.
