Hmm, the way is blocked by huge boulders... We backtrack a bit, and jump down.

Meet Bubba, he's pretty good at whacking poor Mint with his huge hammer. He also respawns shortly after being defeated. In short, he can be a pain sometimes.

Black magic!

We now have a wonderful Bomb spell that will let us blow up the boulders blocking our way.

Yes, it literally has Mint launching bombs. Fancy.

We destroy the boulders, grab two silver coins, and reach a nasty platforming area with Bubbas and fire lizards.

As well as dark Pollywogs who knock Mint off her feet.

The next area has strong winds blowing. We hide behind a rock so as not to be blown away.

And finally we reach the top of the path. But... what's that?

Not until we accomplish our goal. We need the relic, and we're gonna get it.

Duke is quite nasty if we let him get close to Mint

His melee attacks are fast, numerous, and strong.

And if we let him beat us down, Belle's Hexagon picks us up and throws in the air. That's why we must keep Duke at a distance with strong magic attacks -- melee is no good against him.

After we've defeated Duke, it's time to knock Belle off that thing with jump + melee.

Once knocked down, Belle recharges her health and starts doing her magic tricks. She is invulnerable to Mint's magic at the moment, so melee is again the only viable way to defeat her.

And off she flies.
Fighting more fire blobs and dark pollywogs, we keep crawling up the mountain.

Legendary Shield is another unique item we should hold on to for now.

And finally we reach the top.
