Carrier Command was awesome little gem on Amiga500 back then. The remake shows some promise.

Also, the actual developer team at Paradox is pretty small, so it's no wonder that when they made a new engine, they made sequels for the two most popular games they have and even then, EU3 and HoI3 are quite different games than their predecessors. And now they are making both Vicky2 and expansion to HoI3 and they also publish smaller products from other devs AND their GamersGate has no extra DRM/spyware-shit or online-activation required-crap tacked on.
