Well, it's been a hard long year since we started this project. We made some good progress. Out of the 50800 dialogs lines, already 23000 are translated (but my proofreader has just recently began to check the dialog translation).On the other side, all other kind of texts (slides, pop-up message, character sheet, text box, panels, etc etc) are translated and proofread. We might have miss some typos too (specially some GenderVar assuming incriminated file allows them), and various fixs have to be done (Journal Panel, some location in the maps are not fully displayed,...). It represents about 30000 lines of texts.
Sunfire, who owns this translation project via Passolo+Google Drive, has made a downloadable archive to beta-test our translation. This beta includes very, very few dialogs translation (only 12 files out of the 550 ones), but the idea is to check all kind all bugs not related to theses dialogs files.
So, if some French codexians are interested, I will gladly grant you & you an access to this downloadable archive, hosted on our Google Drive space. Just PM me and make sure you got a @gmail.com valid email adress
Install process:
0) Make a copy of the files ./scripts.aod and ./art/gui.aod
1) Download and unpack the archive.
2) Copy its ./levels/ and ./core/ sub-folders to the game dir.
3) Copy the content of its ./art/gui/ sub-folder to the file ./art/gui.aod .
4) Copy the content of its ./scripts/ sub-folder to the file scripts.aod in the game dir (it's an archive, actually, and could be navigated through by some unpackers or file managers (i.e. Total Commander) like usual folders).
5) Change the line $pref::ITS::Language = "english"; to $pref::ITS::Language = "french"; in the file /Documents/My Games/Age Of Decadence/prefs.cs before 1st run of FR build after unzipping it to the game dir.
Feel free to test it for the fun or for helping us to seek & identify any kind of bugs
The beta is fully playable, but remember only 12 dialogs files are translated in it, which is very few. All other text are translated (with some typos, as showed by Cado's tavern desc in the game message box)
