Arcanum: weapons against ore golems

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Ore golems and some other monsters that damage your weapon when you hit them.
Ranged weapons and gauntlets work well against them, I read 100% tech or magical weapon also do not take damage.

What are these 100% weapons?

All Arcane equipment is 100% magickal. Gypsies sell it from time to time, and you can simply wait 24 hours about a screen away from a gypsy to refresh her inventory.

As for 100% tech, I don't really remember any melee weapons apart from the Iron Clan Hammer.

The two times I finished Arcanum I designed my characters specifically with the ore golems in mind. My first one invested in sneaking, while my other one used the level 3 summons (ogre champions or something) to take care of the golems for me.

I'd guess that crafted tech weapons would be 100% tech (Flaming Axe, Balanced Sword, etc) but I never bothered trying to find a weapon that could withstand them, I just equipped everyone with a bunch of cheap crap / crafted weapons, nothing I couldn't replace, and had at them.

Flaming axe - yes
Balanced sword - I don't think so

Flaming Axe seems to be the best choice for a fighter as magical weapons would be too expensive at this point of the game and Magnus should be able to craft axes.

Arcanum designer docs:

1: "Let's give every skill a chance to be useful."
2: "What about repair? We have shopkeepers who can do repairs, how can we make it worth putting points in to it?"
1: "I know! Let's fill dungeons with monsters that damage weapons and armours!"

And thus the most irritating part of Arcanum was born!
