So, i was thinking of trying Arena once i get bored with Daggerfall. I read on wiki that there's is a 2005 CD-Rom version which contains added extras and built in Dosbox configuration. Anybody knows where i can find it? Regular torrent searches have awarded nothing so far.

Mmm? I don't remember a 2005 CD version. Maybe they confused the CD version (released back in 1995) with the 10th anniversary free download (from 2005). IIRC Bethesda put up the regular floppy version in 2005, no the CD version.

Anyway the CD doesn't really have much stuff in it. You just get voices for that ghostgirl spirit and for Jagar Tharn taunting you (voices are... not that good). Oh and a slightly altered ending animation (only the animation; the crust of the ending is exactly the same). Anyway I can upload an ISO of the CD if you're so inclined.

How is this game anyway? I wasn't sure if i was going to like either of them so i started with Daggerfall directly, but now i'm wondering if it might have been best to play Arena first.

The experience would be roughly similar to playing Jagged Alliance after you have already played its sequel. Not exactly bad, even enjoyable sometimes, but probably not fully satisfying.
