Yes, the MC is canonically a woman, again, despite the fact the vast majority of players chose the male protagonist. Also the samurai for their Japan game is a woman and the shinobi is a black man.

But yeah it is fantasy. There is literally no difference between the AC games and Forgotten Realms. It's all made up bullshit that's plagiarizing history to a larger or smaller degree. The only (ONLY) way you could protest women warriors is if you believe that the AC series is historical in any way, shape or form, and if you do then there is no helping you — people who believe Ubisoft marketing should just check out of polite society.
