I like how people cling to their CRT monitors for so long, but once they are forced to get a new monitor, they realize that those old CRTs really aren't that great in comparison to what is available these days. Sure CRT/LCD have their pros/cons, but modern LCD essentially has more pros than an old CRT does. Gotta love it ;P

I freed up so much space on my desk that I never knew existed (seriously, my 19" CRT was a fat bastard). But my CRT was one of the best, lasted since 2004 (actually still not dead) so it'll be interesting to see how long the LCD lasts. I never even had to get the CRT repaired as well.

PS: I confirmed my theory while playing Lost & the Damned @ 1080p. GTA4 definitely runs smoother at higher res. A big "fuck you" to Rockstar for their regular stream of shitty ports on PC. At least the games are fun.

PPS: Fringe @ 1080p. BEAUTIFUL!!

OH GOD IT'S GLORIOUS!!

Dell U2311H

Just finished setting it up and now everything looks so big and crisp and wonderful. I didn't notice any color drop or change from my CRT, which is a good thing, and text is crystal clear even though I am sitting way back (compared to one arm distance on CRT).

*sniff* Tis beautiful..

Now to calibrate shit and play some games and run some max and..

Thank you codex (esp. Destroid).

You're welcome, glad you are happy with the monitor
