People really need to learn to separate a character and his views from that of the developers. It's utterly absurd to restrict game characters to politically correct views; intolerance, bigotry and hatred makes for interesting stories. Just accept characters' viewpoints as fiction, and get over it. It's not like people in the real world don't say such things.

But I suppose I really can't speak from personal experience, being a white, upperclass male, it's not like I encounter anything that offends me.

I can never be bothered playing against people who get too angry and/or competitive. I know the whole "chill, man, it's only a game" thing is incredibly cliché, but Jesus. I'm just here to have fun and a bit of interesting challenge, I don't need lectured that I'm not taking the game seriously enough and that I like having sex with men.
