An interesting story idea that is executed with shallow pretentiousness and escalates into full retardation, accompanied by insulting "gameplay".

- every Quanitc Dream game in a nutshell.

I wonder why David Cage needs to ALWAYS have sex scenes in his games.

The weirder thing is how he always has shower scenes.

Mind of a horny 14-16 year old teenager who thinks he's deep.

Always been my explanation

Also explains why he always has to put in stupid random *cool* shit in his games.

Like the AI in Fahrenheit or hallucination super glasses and matrix dream sequence in Heavy Rain.

It's been the most insulting in Heavy Rain so far because that should have been approached as a very personal story with a *heavy* theme

Instead it got a severe case of shizophrenia. Its not like all those sequences even remotly had a point.

Quite funny that I heavily despise all QTEs in modern games, but found them okay in this game. Were they not sudden flashing key prompts in this one?

... yeahyeahyeah game turns into total derp at least halfwaythrough, I agree.

Quantic Dream turds keep getting made, while Shenmue 3 is still dead in the fridge for the forseeable future. For shame.

The sex and shower scenes in his games are pretty mild. Like, milder than Mass Effect.

Dropped storyline thread, apparently. Not sure how much of it is true but I was told the hero would originally receive hints from the deceased victims or something like that, but the publisher didn't want supernatural elements in their serious business crime thriller so they had to just leave these moments as "hallucinations" created by the PC's traumatic experiences.

It's not about how "mild" it is. It's strange to put a shower scene in every freaking game you make. It's like Tarantino with feet.

I always assumed it was because he was French.

It is true and you know this by looking at the extras after having completed the game.

I really don't see the point of HD'fying the textures but not the polycount models. It's like slapping ultra-detailed textures on the original Tie Fighter's ship models. Just wrong, and pointless.

But, as I did enjoy Fahrenheit and it delivered a great atmosphere (at least for its first half), I wouldn't mind giving it another spin, only if they sorted out the PC controls, though. Those Dance Dance Revolution style QTEs were the biggest pain in the ass, with only a keyboard for controller, and made me almost quit the game on a few occasions, during my original and only playthrough. So, did they "smooth" out the QTE controls?

Your cognitive disorder starts to piss me off. Indigo Prophecy belongs to the same genre as Dragon Lair and Space Ace. And it's done fucking well. Why anyone is bashing QTE sequences in a QTE- based game, that's beyond my comprehension.

Also lol, remastering. There's nothing wrong with the released version. On the other hand, there's something seriously wrong with the developers.

I actually don't mind the QTE sequences. It was the story which was dumb as shit. It just becomes impossible to take seriously at some point.

Shit game.

There is a hot coffee style QTE sex scene, though, which is kind of bizarre in the midst of what is a super self-serious, grim dark, style game.

Toggling "Q" and "E" in just the right rythm while two Quake 3 looking characters fuck just can't not be completely silly.

You do mind STORY in a game about smashing controller buttons in perfect coordination with the hints appearing on the screen.

I finally found the use for this emoticon:

:bravo:

Great job, keep going.

The QTE sex scene is weird because the only background it had is that the girl was your ex.
It barely qualifies as a porn plot.
I think there were more sex scenes but I didn't make it past the scene where the main character meets the old lady in the diner so they have this dream sequence to "rebuild" the original experience of the murder.

The most horrible things about this is not the game. It's David Cage being revered as the new hero of storytelling and games being mature. This is what hurts. There has always been games that suck or that were hardly interactive. Yet, none of these had their author made a hero and the voice of wisdom by shitty journalists.

I enjoyed Fahrenheit. Fuck the haters.

Flying around as Goku and kicking old man ass never felt so good.

I remember the music was pretty good, and I can always forgive a shit game if I had eargasm at least once.
Not in this case, though. Even music can't save this turd.

I've seen better 'interactive movies' during the 90-s.

The music was made by Angelo Badalamenti, who made the very much awesome Twin Peaks soundtrack.

Not to mention the City of Lost children soundtrack as well.
