Feature request: die-rolling function inside posts

Could we have a die-rolling function inside posts, similar to what /tg/ has? It'd be useful primarily for some Playground threads. You can find an example of what I'm suggesting here.

The rolls need to be persistent and reasonably immutable; i.e., if the user doesn't like the roll they got, they shouldn't be able to just edit their post to "reroll."

There has been some discussion of the usefulness of this feature in this prestigious thread.

I have some ideas on how to code it, but there appears to be a mod for phpBB that solves the problem reasonably well. It's a beta, and the latest version isn't stable, but the second-to-latest looks okay.

Thanks from your adoring fans!

I get the feeling there's some forum history that I've stuck my foot into here. Can anyone explain?
