Greenlight has no system, the games that graduate to Steam are chosen arbitrarily, according to GabeN's whims. This has always been so, stop pretending like "The Community Has Spoken" has some meaning in this context. GabeN is a Tyrant. One Man, One Vote. One thing that LundB is missing is that Hatred was well on its way to being Greenlit by the community with good popularity and interest. And so removing it then was effectively countermanding their own system and - I think - censorship.

He died very fast on the potatostream.Man, the Antagonist can sure take a beating.
I wasn't expecting the player to be that tough :/
And Gaben demanded Hatred be on Steam, and so it was.Greenlight has no system, the games that graduate to Steam are chosen arbitrarily, according to GabeN's whims. Still doesn't suddenly make the voting mean shit. They can put hundreds of games on their service and refuse thousands more, no matter their popularity, and it still would not be censorship in any way, shape or form. Steam is GabeN's plaything, if he decides he does not want to carry your game there is nothing you can do about it, no matter its popularity. What's next, a thing should be done, because there is a Change.Org petition going on? Fuck off.

When come the rape and babykilling mods?
When come the rape and babykilling mods?
Probably around the same time as the Auschwitz gas chamber operator mods.

Nah man, Hatred's thing is "DAT PERSONAL TOUCH". Look at dem executions. Gas chamber would be totally out of place here. The Antagonist is all about giving each and every one a piece of his heart. Individual attention all around. Flipping a switch is not really his thing...

Yeah, but this could be a total conversion. A visually stunning piece of art where you stand in perfect German posture wearing a stylish Hugo Boss nazi uniform where the only player input is flipping a switch with a stiff hand motion and then you watch Untermenshen die while Erika blasts in the background. It would join the illustrious ranks of Dear Esther, The Path and other art games as an example that games can be more than just brainless shooters!

Don't you mean protagonist
The devs refer to him as the Antagonist.
