If I really enjoy Underrail, which games should I look into?

For some odd reason I am unable to enjoy party based RPGs (cRPGs?) due to the party mechnics, so I picked up Underrail and highly enjoying it.
I like the fact that nothing is handed to me on a silver platter, and with some patience, I am able to progress (solving/thinking).

With this in mind, which games should I be looking into playing next?

It's tricky to recommend things because most RPGs that match Underrail in build porn and combat are party-based. You might enjoy some roguelikes such as Zorbus or Tales of Maj'Eyal. Age of Decadence should be a slam dunk for you if you haven't already tried it.

That's the impression I've been getting, except for the above recommendation of ATOM, in which I believe is 'solo-based'.
I can get about 10 hours into Pillars of Eternity, Pathfinder, etc. just trying my damndest, because everything about the game is beautiful, but the party system is just not my cup.

The Colony Ship release looks intriguing.

Only if you consider Fallout 1 & 2 "solo-based."
I do consider Fallout 1, 2 and New Vegas solo-based games because the combat is balanced around solo play, very different to Baldur's Gate and others RPGs where the combat is balanced around a party mixed with different classes or roles. Now that i think about i don't even remember using companions for too long in these games, most of the time i was playing solo.

edit: Also, unlike other RPGs, you could not manage the companions attributes, skills, etc. in later games you could change their equipment, but it feels like a half-assed implementation.

I got the impression you enjoy challenging games, from your original post, is that correct?
And a "lone wolf" protagonist (controlling a crowd is out of question)? Living in a post-apocalyptic setting?
NEO Scavenger is my recommendation, if you're looking for those.

Ok, now we're talkin!
That looks right up my alley.

Thank You, my Friend.

edit: sidenote, I really wish Shadowrun: HK was a solo playthrough.
Everything about that one is just flat out amazing.

Fallout 1-2(being my all time favorite games) have basically nothing in common with underrail aside from aesthetics and being post apoc.

The games that feel the most similar to underrail in terms of gameplay and ways you approach problems; Jagged alliance 2 and system shock 2. Also that new space wreck game felt more similar to underrail then it did to fallout so maybe that aswell.

Underrail is shit, so you won't enjoy it.

Most people only pretend to like it to look like a XxTruePlayerxX among other people.
