So recently I've been feeling nostalgic about this little gem and since I have the original install disks I decided that eh, put 'em in and let 'em whirl, right?

Well no! Apparently thanks to some wonderful bug the installation automagically removes itself on the 99% mark without any warning. Surely though, being well-versed in the ways of the internets I then went and "acquired" a "replacement", thinking that surely that will work, but no! That, too, failed on the last percent. Apparently it's an issue on x64 systems and it's the game's retarded TAGES DRM or whatever the hell it's supposed to be that cocks up the install.

Has any of our brave Codexers overcome this issue? I'd really like to replay the game, but there's not rip, and unripped versions all seem to just fail at the final stages of the installation.
