Even if you know what to do, going through The Immortal at least once is one damn good time. There is a big difference between watching someone deal with the Squid o' Doom and actually doing it yourself.

Apologies for necromancy from a newcomer to this site, Kuroneko-shi, by resurrecting this thread but you are really making me feel ancient. This game was only released in 1990. I had left university by then.

PS And thank you for the wonderful LPs. But what's an arachnophobe doing playing RPGs?
