I never could though. It is fairly aggresive in it's time requirements and monetization to skip said requirements. Some amazing boss fights though.

It took me one year to find out how bad people are on this game.
When Brelshaza has been released, I couldn't stand people not understanding the meteor mechanic with the 10 kills title.

Yep. It uses the korean version of the game.

I've done a character with the different pass (Breaker release + Whatevershitcatchup).
They've improved a lot of things in the good way.
Only one guardian raid is needed on daily basis, some gates have been removed (Brel G2, G5. Vykas, G1). Cube/Boss rush have been merged into one thingy doing all in one.

But the major problem is still here, people are crippled and/or braindead.
So you have to commit in a staticgroup/guild and I'm too much a yeslifer to fit in. Too bad, the new classes are fun to play.

I have no idea, I've just done some dungeons/raid. I had a solid horizontal progression before dropping the game so I'm not exploring. I've only done the Voldis questline (Wakanda continent :/) and haven't seen a single bot. They must be in the lower continents.

Community is probably the worst I have personally encountered in an online game. Good luck catching up if you haven't done raids before.

One more sacrifice on the monetization altar. I was really looking forward to this too. Still doesn't feel as bad as exo-primal being DOA though. Lost Ark I saw coming about a year before launch when the shills were trying to argue that the pay to win aspects were merely 'pay to win faster' or whatever shit the try to pass it off as.

At least at launch it was.

On release, the Western versions of "Lost Ark" saw significantly fewer character classes compared to the Korean version of the game. While there were plenty of great beginner classes to choose from, Western servers only got 15 different options to choose from, which left out several classes from Korean servers.

Dunno how it is now though.

Yeah it is. There's not much to it really. The thing is, there was a WOW-style community attached to it in SK so it was a big thing that everyone wanted to be part of. You have to remember parasocialism is a key element of MMOs.

I tried it out on release, what killed it for me was the campaign being worse than drying paint. Everything dies as you breathe on it, there are sections where you're 'escorting' someone that can solo the area for you, and it was full of tedious errand running. So much time spent just walking from place to place, or watching cutscenes.

I came for the cool boss fights, but they made up like 5% of the gameplay, and when I read they'd be gated to like 1 attempt per day, with another if you spent an hour grinding shitty daily quests, I said fuck that and left. I'm sure it's much more fun if you buy the whale pass and get to spend way more time fighting cool shit. Not paying a monthly fee for that privelege.

The meat of the game is in its Legion Raids, which weren't even available on the game's release, since it took a few months until Valtan. Until then, the uncontrolled botting situation and abysmal server performance turned off a lot of people from the game. The actual combat in the raids and the raid design itself is still absolute peak, it's just everything around it that is ruining the game for many players.

Bots come and go, sometimes prices of fish and other shit goes down, so you notice bots have made a bit of return, but from what I've been told, it's barely noticeable at this point. You can definitely play the game without having to worry about bots, I know I am.
