A division of EA - Bio-something - says their latest movie 'Mass Effect' is golden. As we all know it'll be released the 20th of November.

Mass Effect is an Electronic Arts franchise now, but that isn't stopping Microsoft from pushing the Xbox 360-exclusive sci-fi role-playing game as a big part of its holiday lineup. Today Microsoft announced that not only has the game gone gold in preparation of its November 20 release date, but it will also receive a full-blown Limited Collector's Edition.

A mysterious source of unfathomable power claims the very same studio is producing a Kotor MMO.

"A source close to BioWare confirmed to us today that the studio's upcoming untitled massively-multiplayer online RPG will be centered around the Star Wars universe, specifically that of Knights of the Old Republic, which the developer released in 2003," read the report.

It done gone gold so copies could be sent to bribed reviewers who will create hype to kill all of the hype for the Christmas sales.

Bioware will cast the spell and people will have to make a will save or lose 5 points of intelligence and wisdom.

I was hoping the KotOR MMO was just a rumor. This is fuckin great!

What the fuck? You'd rather pay monthly for yet another MMO than just once for a proper sequel to the first two RPGs?

I personally think its awful news! I was holding out for a KOTOR 3!

Ah, I apologise. I thought that was a smiley face at the end on the first reading.

I think it is a rumor. Bioware representatives said a million times that they wanted to create games based on the original IP only.
Alas, they weren't EA representatives.

Mass Effect games are being published by Microsoft. The contracts were long in place before EA bought Bioware earlier this month.

As for the KOTOR MMO, it could happen as the agreement between Bioware and EA only transferred Bioware's own IPs to EA, that is Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

I still don't think a KOTOR MMO would be very succesfull, though. A Forgotten Realms, Baldur's Gate, MMO, on the other hand...

Lucasarts owns the KOTOR IP not Bioware.
