Didnt see this mentioned anywhere, there are still 5 days left for the KS, which has already been very successful.

Basicaly this looks like a Men of War style RTS focused on small unit tactics (though devs also mention large scale battles). There should be strong storyfag elements, protagonists are anthropomorphic animals (Germans = Rats, Britbongs + Frenchies = Mice, Ruskies = Cockroaches, Japs = Lizards). The art presented in the KS pitch has even a ratgirl with hairy boobs, so... well... I guess that the fanbase for this might end up including some unsavory elements.

Anyway, this could be interesting and it reminds me of an old RTS called S.W.I.N.E (similar idea, but it was pigs/Germans vs allies/rabbits). Give it a look a see for yourselves if this is something that could be of interest to you.

Lol. When I mentioned that it was a shame that there weren't any Mouse Guard inspired game, I didn't expect "this"...

Dozens of playable characters and over 70 different blowing units

Could be a mistake, but maybe it is a foreshadowing of all the R34 nazi rat fetish porn that this game is bound to spawn.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
What I really want the most is a Men of War style RTS with its physics simulation of proper bullet flight, tank partial damage and locational armor, armor penetration, etc etc but with units with a small modicum of smart behavior so I don't have to micromanage their positioning by the centimeter.

Like infantry that's positioned inside a house switching windows based on which window offers the best firing position and protection, rather than just sitting in the one I assigned them 5 minutes ago even though they can't hit any enemies from there while the window just one room to their right offers the perfect shot at an entire squad. Or tanks automatically turning to face an AT gun that flanked them, rather than leaving its more vulnerable side exposed until I manually give them the order to turn.

I've dreamed about combination of Close Combat and MoW too.

Ratten Reich Update
Dear friends, The time has come for our first official update since the end of the Kickstarter campaign. We have decided to level up our game regarding modeling and the making of concepts. We would also like to share the lore that is being developed. So, without further interruption, let's begin. First of all we would like to share the concept art for the Rat armies; that being the Desert version and the main one. We have came to the conclusion, that concepts should be re-drawn with more attention to detail.

e69627359b7d32a3ec55f38c81904a25_original.jpg

On this concept we see a soldier of the Rat army from the Desert corp, he will be seen in the games extra campaign "Desert Front". This is a unit of the Colonial Empire and we want his ammunition to be not only good looking but also useful. We want it to keep the general vibe and not look distasteful.

Let's continue on with the concept of the Trooper from the main army. This will be the most common unit in the main campaign. OST/West army soldier.

As previously mentioned we chose to upgrade the texture quality because we have the resources to do so. We present to you the steam troop support vehicle for the Rat Army "Optimus 01". This is brought to life by the KUFF factory. We hope that this level of quality will be in line with modern day RTS standards.

Have you tried Graviteam Tactics Mius Front?

No but I tried Tank Warfare Tunisia 1943, and it's pretty good. The interface could be a little more user friendly though.

Well, Mius Front is a sequel to Graviteam Tactics, which had really terrible interface, so you could say that it is already much more userfriendly than it had to be

They seem to post some stuff on Tiktok like disgusting zoomers.

Tiktok is sadly one of the only social media which is not outright hostile to developers:
- Twitter has very few players on it
- Facebook won't show your posts unless you pay for it
- posting about your game on reddit is usually pretty complicated with all the rules about self promotion
Tiktok being in the growth phase now doesn't try to mug the developers :D

Btw, it is weird that they are using rats in this game, as most screenshots make them hard to tell apart form humans :D

It looks nice anyway (but I am still not sold on the rat part!).

Dear friends, we continue to tell you about our project in the next update. In this update, we will talk about the new technique and progress in the creation of new models. We are also moving forward in creating new game mechanics and will try to show them in the next updates.

We have prepared a new batch of news for you! Let's start with an overview of the new cockroach concept.

The heavy infantry of the tsarist army instills fear in the souls of any soldiers that cross their path, but the cockroach infantry is more than just a scary bedtime story. The best cockroaches have been hardened by battle and are selected for heavy infantry; they undergo additional training with heavy equipment. Due to their anatomical features, cockroaches are one of the most feared enemies that can be found in the trenches. In close combat, cockroaches gain a huge advantage due to their anatomy; they have 4 “hands” which allows them to wield multiple melee weapons at once.

Another feature of the cockroach is their natural armor - their carapace. Such armor is ineffective against bullets but, in close combat, it can protect against small wounds. The equipment of such soldiers consists of a cuirass, a special protective helmet with a mask, a saber, and a rifle. Although the equipment of the tsarist army may differ (some cockroaches have trophy weapons and pillaged equipment), squads of heavy infantry are continuously sent into the most bitter cauldrons of the war.

Violet Ackermann

Violet Ackermann, Head of the Imperial Chancellery. A participant in the Desert War, a close friend of Kuffins, in addition to the emperor himself. The entire system of recruitment and unit dispatch - as well as the military communications departments - are at her disposal. She often personally commands small squads to collect intelligence. The Imperial Chancellery is the bureau for army communication and supplies, as well the most innovative branch of the emperor's regime when it comes to spy technologies. These technologies supply the empire's spy networks and communications. Often, these are monolithic concrete towers. For example, in the capital of the empire, the Imperial Chancellery is 88 meters. This woman is the personification of the protection of women in the era of war. She is the initiator of the voluntary troop conscription among women. It is through her merit and political influence that the government does not allow the mass conscription of women to the front, but does advocate for the voluntary elite corps. Violet Ackermann handles these militia infantry groups and the women's guard.

Kuffins Kuff

Kuffins Kuff is the heir to the Koff industry, which produces 90% of all military equipment and 40% of all consumer goods. As a cult personality, faithful companion, and right hand of the emperor, Kuffins is the Chief Engineer of the Empire. He is a Veteran of the Desert War and the war for the Sun Emperor's throne. There is not a single rat that Kuffins and the Emperor do not care about. Kuffins, in addition to being a master of engineering, is also an army general for the ^Geist^. He is simply incapable of sympathy for his soldiers and, therefore, will make any sacrifice necessary. Victory by any odds must be assured. His army consists almost entirely of tank corps. His political influence is immense, as is his loyalty to the Emperor and the Empire.

The soldiers of the Empire of the Sun

The soldiers of the Empire of the Sun are small gears that are responsible for the operation of the entire mechanism, represented by the great Empire. They are armed with old and new weapons, have excellent combat skills, and they fully devote their lives to serving the Empire of the Sun. If necessary, they are ready to go on a sacrificial attack on the enemy. Most of their weapons were supplied by the allied country RR (i.e. tanks and aircraft), but they also possess their own weapons that are ultimately inferior to the weapons of other countries. Such a lag in production capacity is due to the long feudal period - the outdated foundations of the Empire - the constant war with the Red Dragon, and the location of the islands. They also supply Amaterasu-class battleships to the RR.

New Fur

We tried revamping the fur for our characters. In the screenshot below, you can see an ordinary infantryman of the Ost West army of the Ratten Reich. What you see in this image is in early development. In the future, we will improve the fur of our characters to offer a more polished look.

New Models

Introducing the basic FMR revolver. This model is abundantly produced at the factories of Angul. It is the go-to pistol for everybody in the FMR. It has a simple and reliable design which has subsequently made this weapon a favorite firearm for the soldiers. Now, this basic revolver makes regular appearances in the holsters of the highest ranked officers. It owes its mass quantity to pre-war production and the ability to withstand the test of time.

Rodent Coffin TF-01 Tank

The engineers named this tank TF-01 but, at the frontline, this tank received a far different name: the Rodent Coffin. Due to the thickness of the armor and the tight quarters inside, it was granted its iconic nickname. This nickname characterizes its technical aspects as well; since a single vehicle is hardly a threat to enemy vehicles, it is otherwise able to hold back onslaughts of infantry. When there are dozens of Rodent Coffins on the battlefield, even a masterfully crafted war machine will have a hard time. Also, this tank is quite maneuverable and cheap to manufacture which is the main variable that allows the FMR to mass-produce these units.

Armored Vehicle VH-1 FMR

This vehicle was created to support the infantry. To this end, 2 machine guns were installed on the armored vehicle to create suppressive fire. To protect the crew, the turret was reinforced with additional armor plates at a slight angle to ricochet incoming bullets and shells. At the front, this design choice has proven itself to be very effective. Overwhelming power and maneuverability justified the production of this armored vehicle, but due to the desire to save resources in production, a fatal mistake was made. Instead of tracks, wheels were put on the car. This decision had a negative effect on the off-road capability of the vehicle, as well as making the wheels an easy target for infantry.

FMR Transport Vehicle

Due to the need for multifunctional vehicles, the FMR created its own original machine; the chassis of which a huge number of other models were built for varying needs. This transport was used for peaceful purposes - such as the transportation of goods and construction - in addition to its military contributions. Due to the variety of modifications, the technical characteristics of this machinery also vary. The first models had a number of problems with steam engines. Higher FMR officials claimed that this is a completely original design, but among ordinary residents, there are rumors that the schematics were stolen from the Ratten Reich and that the FMR model was made from the blueprints of those secret documents.

FMR Rifle

The FMR was never famous for its weaponry. This rifle was produced long before the war, so it has a number of drawbacks in the form of frequent jams and misfires. Some models are so old that they have problems with the external condition of the weapon (i.e. serious rust and cracks on the wooden stock). The FMR is slowly phasing out this rifle model and moving on to a newer design.

Eisenbrecher

Old artillery of the Ratten Reich. It has a number of imperfections: heavy weight, poor aiming, outdated ammunition, but the Eisenbrecher is still superior to its FMR counterparts. New, more advanced models are coming to replace this artillery. In this regard, Eisenbrecher is used to protect and break through unimportant positions. The gun is mounted on the chassis of some machinery.
