Saga of Ryzom set itself up for an 8-yr cycle afterwhich they are saying the game will close.

I think thats a bit presumptious considering UO isnt even to that mark.

Ive thought about the server reset. Its actually going to be in the game...but its going to take at least 2 years to happen.

The end game consists of:
a) taking over a large amount of player owned territory
b) taking over a large amount of NPC territory and thereby legions for your army (not as strange as it sounds)
c) taking over the large npc cities

until you dominate the server.

Our guild in ShadowBane owned the server for more than 6 months to the point of people saying we had ruined the game. Our guild in UO did the same thing.
Same in EQ.

Resetting the server would be the perfect fix for this.
I like the idea.
